Chicago Distance Classic Half Marathon 2008 - 2:02
Short-Term Running Goals:
I am training for the NYC Marathon. I would like to finish in under 3:50. I am using the Hal Higdon Intermediate II training schedule.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Qualify for Boston 2010
Personal:
I am 38 y/o andjust finishing up medical school. It is difficult to keep up with rigorous training schedules and med school...but I find it is one of the only ways for me to get some time to clear my head.
I dedicate all of my races to an elementary school in Zambia that my parents are helping to build. For this year, I found a corporate donor (via ebay) that is donating $9000 to the school. In exchange, I have offered to wear pajamas bearing their slogan while I train and race! this short run felt good. I was a little worried, having run 20 miles on saturday, but no real worries. Only a few days left 'til New York!
